Bradford was another club championships and wow what a turn out we had! 57 Snails made their way down the M62 to tackle one of the flattest 10k races in the area making us the club with the biggest turn out on the day.
The race itself was really well organised, every got through the start line within a few minutes of the gun and we were straight into the city centre. It was a typical 'out and back' route where you can see runners who are already making their way back to finish line whilst you're still looking for half way sign. Personally I don't mind this, it keeps me focussed on getting through the race, although I know some people find it disheartening or distracting.
As I've said, the race is super flat and a lot runners got PBs on the day. You also got a tshirt and medal at the finish line, plus a bag of sweets which is always a win!
Winners for each of the championship divisions were:
Group 1 - Warren Evans
Group 2 - Terry Lamonby-Smith
Group 3 - Suzanne Fretwell
Group 4 - Samantha Wolstenholme
Group 5 - Pam McGhee
Well done everyone! The next champs race is the Bluebell 10 trail run...which I can guarantee will be a very different run.
